Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 19/02/2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Secure Chamber mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirement

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use Secure Chamber.

  2. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

    • You are 18 years of age or older; and

    • All individuals depicted in any content you upload are at least 18 years old and have given their informed consent.

  3. Content involving minors, or content uploaded without the consent of all individuals depicted, is strictly prohibited. Any breach will result in immediate termination and may be reported to relevant authorities where legally required.

2. Account Registration and Linked Accounts

  1. Secure Chamber is designed for use by two linked users (“Partners”).

  2. Each Partner must maintain a separate account and authenticate independently.

  3. Accounts may be linked only with the explicit consent of both Partners.

  4. Either Partner may lock the content from being viewed at any time.

3. User Content and Ownership

  1. You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, and other media you upload (“User Content”).

  2. By uploading User Content, you grant Secure Chamber a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence solely to:

    • encrypt, store, transmit, and display User Content within the App; and

    • make User Content accessible only to authorised linked Partners.

  3. Secure Chamber does not:

    • sell, share, monetise, analyse, or review User Content;

    • use User Content for advertising, analytics, or AI/model training purposes.

4. End-to-End Encryption and Security

  1. Secure Chamber uses end-to-end encryption, meaning User Content is encrypted on your device before transmission and can only be decrypted on authorised linked devices.

  2. Encryption keys are not accessible to Secure Chamber Limited.

  3. User Content is decrypted only within the authorised App environment for approved viewing.

  4. While Secure Chamber implements robust security measures, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you acknowledge that residual risk exists.

5. Consent-Based Access Model

  1. User Content is locked by default.

  2. Viewing User Content requires explicit approval from both linked Partners.

  3. Either Partner may revoke approval or delete User Content at any time.

  4. Approval to view content does not transfer ownership rights or imply ongoing consent.

6. Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload, store, or share content that:

  • depicts or appears to depict minors;

  • is non-consensual, exploitative, abusive, or unlawful;

  • infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;

  • violates applicable law or regulation.

7. Screenshots, Downloads and Device Limitations

  1. Secure Chamber does not provide any functionality that allows User Content recorded within or uploaded to the App to be downloaded, exported, or transferred outside the App environment.

  2. User Content remains encrypted and accessible only within the authorised App interface.

  3. While you retain ownership of your User Content, the App is designed so that such content cannot be saved to external storage or accessed outside the App through any in-app feature.

  4. Secure Chamber implements operating system–level screenshot blocking and related technical safeguards where supported by the user’s device and operating system.

  5. Due to platform, device, or third-party software limitations, Secure Chamber cannot guarantee that User Content cannot be captured outside the App using external tools or system functions beyond its control.

  6. Secure Chamber is not responsible for User Content captured or reproduced outside the App environment through means beyond its control.

8. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • keep your credentials and devices secure;

  • not share account access with third parties;

  • ensure you have all necessary rights and consents for uploaded content.

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

  1. Secure Chamber does not actively monitor User Content.

  2. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts or restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

  3. Secure Chamber may cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities where legally required.

10. Unlinking, Account Deletion and Retention

  1. Either Partner may unlink accounts at any time. Upon unlinking or account deletion, the chamber and associated User Content enter a recovery period of up to 24 hours, during which the chamber may be restored.
    After the 24-hour recovery period expires, the chamber and associated User Content are permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.

  2. If a paid subscription lapses or expires, the chamber and associated User Content are retained for up to 90 days, during which the subscription may be reactivated.

  3. After the 90-day retention period, the chamber and associated User Content are permanently deleted.

11. Relationship Disputes

Secure Chamber is not responsible for disputes between Partners, including disputes relating to consent, relationship breakdown, or deletion of content.

12. Limitation of Liability

  1. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

  2. Subject to the above, Secure Chamber is not liable for:

    • loss of User Content;

    • emotional distress or relationship harm;

    • indirect or consequential losses.

  3. Secure Chamber’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the preceding 12 months.

13. App Store Terms

  1. These Terms are between you and Secure Chamber, not Apple or Google.

  2. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them as applicable.

  3. Use of the App is also subject to the relevant App Store terms.

14. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

15. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  2. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
